ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Attorney Talent Acquisition Manager will manage the full cycle recruitment process for shareholders, lateral associates, and non-track attorneys.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
● Works with office and/or practice leadership on strategic identification and development of attorney candidate pipelines and assess senior-level candidate fit and strengths
● Meets regularly with office and/or practice leadership to review hiring needs and potential candidates
● Coordinates entire recruitment process for attorney candidates, including initial review of candidate materials, respond to inquiries, collect information from lateral candidates, coordinate interview process (scheduling, monitoring, evaluation follow-up, etc.), and communicate with candidates and headhunters regarding candidate status
● Coordinates with the Talent Acquisition staff and other administrative departments (e.g., Human Resources, Conflicts) to complete various recruitment-related checks (background, conflicts, references, bar status, etc.) and new hire-related paperwork as well as other employment related processes
● Assist other offices with candidate and market research, as necessary
● Manages relationships with search firms
● Maintains applicant database and department records as well as generate reports
● Will be an active member of the local NALP city group chapter, attend city group meetings and aware of NALP guidelines and best practices
● Special projects, as needed from the Chief Talent Officer
● May assist in law student recruiting activities from time to time
WORK EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:
● Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business, or related field
● 8 -10 years of related attorney recruiting experience, preferably with a large law firm
● Working knowledge of recruiting software and applicant tracking systems
● Computer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
● Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly
● High attention to detail, exceptional planning and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor and presentation; ability to interact effectively with candidates, all levels of firm personnel and a variety of external clients
● Provide outstanding client service, meet high quality standards for services and meet or exceed client expectations. Proactive in seeking innovative ways in which to help others
