Our client is a rapidly growing online furniture design and sales start up based in Madrid, Spain, having presence all over Europe and it is a category leader.
In their firts 3 years of life, they have created a sales team of 12 professionals to develop 4 markets: ES, FR, DACH and UK. They have been able to generate cumulative sales of +5M Euros and with accelerated growth, they are looking to double this in the next 12 months.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Head of Sales you will join a young team of 25 professionals, reporting to the CEO and Founder of the company being able to participate in key decisions.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
● Develop the brand in the furniture vertical through a scalable international growth
● Responsible for commercial operations: budgeting, follow-up, and closings.
● Become part of the management board as a key decision-maker.
● Led the commercial team of 12 people with a forecast growth to 16 people by the end of 2022.
● Define and ensure the achievement of sales targets.
● Actively participate in the product and new line extension development.
● Provide the rest of the management team with an accurate and detailed sales forecast.
● Ensure customer satisfaction and anticipate their product and service needs.
● Ensure the quality of sales reporting and analytics.
● Support the technology team in defining the online product roadmap.
● Monitor different markets to analyze competitor behavior.
● Ensure collaboration with Marketing and Operations to ensure business objectives are met.
WORK EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:
● Commercial experience as Sales Manager, Sales Leader, Commercial Director, or similar roles.
● In-depth knowledge of sales techniques in funnel model / CRM.
● Proven experience in leading sales teams.
● Analytical and organizational skills.
● Flexibility and adaptability to changing environments
● Build team dynamics and translate company vision into commercial actions.
● Track record in building strong and specialized sales teams through hiring.
● Highly proactive and responsible.
● Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
● Orientation to teamwork and collaboration with colleagues and external counterparts.
● Experience in Start ups and Scaleups is a plus.
● Languages: fluency in Spanish and English. French / German valued.
● Sensitivity and passion for design to feel the product and be able to defend it to architects and designers.
