ABOUT THE ROLE

We are searching for a Lead E-commerce Back End Developer. This role will work within the broader development team. This is a hands-on position that will lead the architecture and overall build of the e-commerce website. This person will be integral in creating and executing a high-performing e-commerce website with top-notch security and scalability.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

● Lead a team of back-end developers, set architecture direction, standards and contribute to the code development.

● Define architecture for back end, as well as the cloud infrastructure to ensure the highest performance, security and scalability.

● As a team, provide a 3rd line escalation for any website issues.

● This is a hands-on role, so coding on a daily basis is also required.

WORK EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

● Must have deep JavaScript architect level coding knowledge, including a solid NodeJS experience.

● Hands-on experience with Python (Django) is also required.

● Experience with 24/7 high volume and transactional websites, social media or e-commerce.

● Experience building APIs and microservices.

● AWS and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Pulumi) experience.

● Experience building out scalable cross region databases.

● Skilled at implementing SDLC best practices, CI/CD, testing, QA, monitoring and site reliability

● Global CDN services experience, such as Cloudflare

● Azure or GCP experience.

● Able to adapt to a work schedule based on Pacific Time

● Advanced English (C1 minimum).
